FAQs

The tour starts in Tambolaka airport (west Sumba), where you'll be picked up in the first day, and it finishes in Waingapu airport (east Sumba), where the guide will drop you off on the last day.

Both airports have daily connections with Bali, usually in the morning.

The best time to visit Sumba Island is during the dry season, from April to November. During these months, you’ll enjoy sunny days and ideal conditions for exploring the island. In other months, rain is more frequent, but visiting the island is still possible and there are fewer travelers.

Since this tour involves some walks in the jungle and visits to beaches and waterfalls, in addition to your normal warm weather clothes, don't forget to bring comfortable trekking shoes, a small backpack for daily essentials, a rain jacket, insect repellent with DEET, a waterproof bag, sun protection (hat, sunglasses, and high-SPF sunscreen), and a portable water bottle.
