Ready for an epic underwater adventure? Join us for an unforgettable day trip in Komodo National Park, where you’ll explore colorful coral reefs and spot majestic manta rays!
Known for its stunning marine life, Komodo offers the perfect dive trip for you. You’ll depart early at 7 am from Labuanbajo on a spacious, comfortable boat. Enjoy breakfast while taking in the island views as we visit three different dive spots—two in the morning and one after lunch.
You can dive for up to 50 minutes at each spot, with an experienced guide in groups of maximum 4 divers, encountering diverse marine life such as manta rays, reef sharks, turtles, big schools of reef fish, and colorful nudibranchs. We’ll return to the harbor around 5 pm.
Komodo features vibrant coral reefs, underwater seamounts, pinnacles, caves, and sandy slopes. While the strong currents are great for drift dives, many sites have minimal currents and can be chosen based on your experience and certification.
At Karang Travel, we recommend at least 2 days of diving in Komodo National Park for experienced divers to fully enjoy your stay in Labuanbajo. If you’re not certified, you can still join with a Discover Scuba experience and take your first breath underwater! Please get in touch for more details or for a personalised package.
Begin your day with a meeting at the dive shop at 7:00 AM. Once aboard the boat, you'll be greeted with breathtaking views of the renowned Komodo National Park as you sail towards your first dive site. Enjoy your breakfast as you take in the scenery. Each dive will last up to 50 minutes, followed by approximately an hour of surface time between dives. After your second dive, a delicious lunch will be served onboard. As the afternoon dive concludes, the boat will make its way back to Labuanbajo, with an expected arrival around 5:00 PM.
This tour is available year-round, but the peak season for spotting manta rays in Komodo National Park typically spans from September to May.
It's important to bring your dive certification, if you have one, and if you travel with some of your dive gear that you would like to use, such as mask, dive computer or camera. Additionally, don't forget your swimsuit, sunglasses and, if you bring sunscreen, make sure it's reef friendly!
Labuanbajo airport (Bandara Internasional Komodo) has several daily flights from Jakarta and Bali. The airport is only 5-10 minutes away by taxi from the town centre of Labuanbajo, where most of the accomodations are.
